Louis D. Laurino Esq.

Louis D. Laurino, born and raised in Astoria, Queens, is a former Surrogate of Queens County (1971 to 1991) and senior partner of our firm. He attended Long Island University, L.L.B. Brooklyn Law School and was admitted to practice in June of 1951.

Judge Laurino was Chairman of the Executive Committee of Surrogate’s Association from 1976 through 1988, a former Adjunct Professor of St. John’s University School of Law and former Visiting Professor of the University of Miami School of Law.

He was a member of the American Law Institute and was Co-Chairman of the Legislative Advisory Commission on Revision of Estates Powers and Trust Law and Surrogates Court Procedures Act. He is Past Chairman of the Judicial Section of the New York State Bar Association.

As a member of the Bureau of Speakers, Louis D. Laurino is an active participant in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn’s Wills and Estates Planning Program, which he helped to form, speaking at parishes throughout the Diocese. In addition, he is also a Planning Committee Member and Presenter for the Annual Lawyer’s Conference, sponsored by the Diocese.
